Series Overview

Evangelism Resource:

Designed for youth club settings, where you’re looking to spark interest in Jesus and explore the gospel together. Each session includes an interactive talk and group discussion outline, along with games, crafts, discussion starters, and Going Further activities for diving in deeper.

Session 1: Hope

Isaiah 9:2-7

God’s people were living in deep darkness, longing for rescue and peace. Through the prophet Isaiah, God promised the arrival of a child who would be a wonderful, wise, powerful, loving leader, a Prince of Peace. This promise brought hope. At Christmas, we remember that this child is Jesus, the Light who shines in the darkness, bringing real peace to those who trust in Him.

Session 2: Promise

Luke 1:26-38

An angel appears to Mary with incredible news – she will give birth to the Son of God. The long awaited King is finally on His way. Jesus is holy, eternal, and worthy of worship. He will reign forever.

Session 3: Fulfilment

Luke 2:1-7

God’s promise is fulfilled – Jesus is born! His arrival is rooted in real time and history, yet it takes place in a surprisingly humble way. The eternal King enters the world, born to a teenage girl and laid in a manger. This is God’s deliberate plan, to draw near to us.

Session 4: Joy

Luke 2:8-20

Ordinary shepherds are the first to hear the Good News of Jesus’ birth. The angel announces the Saviour has come! The sky fills with angels praising God, and the shepherds respond with joy and worship.

Session 5: Gift

Matthew 2:1-11

The wise men travel far, guided by a star, to worship the newborn King. They arrive overjoyed and present their gifts in love, devotion, and worship. In contrast, Herod responds with fear and self interest. The wise men’s response shows us what Christmas is really about: recognising Jesus as worthy of our worship and joyful celebration.
